First Night Hartford will run from 2:00 p.m. through Midnight! We will be having a fabulous fireworks show at both 6:00 p.m. and Midnight.

Can't wait for New Years? Come anytime during the 48 hours leading up to the event, and check out the progress of First Night Hartford's 48 Hours of Art - a collaborative mixed media installation completed by 8 local artists! The installation may be viewed from outside until 2:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve, at which point it becomes open to the public until 11:00 p.m.

Arch Tours

Battle of the Bands
Event Type: Teens
Come watch as some the finest local bands compete for prizes and glory in front of judges and fans. Hear some new groups or come show your support as they each play a pair of songs trying to impress the audience and the judging panel. Stick around for a concert afterwards featuring Tip The Van.

Butler McCook House Tours

Take a tour of one of Hartford’s historical treasures – the Butler McCook House! Located on Main St., the Butler McCook house will offer free tours to First Night Hartford ticket holders from 3:30 – 7:30pm. And for kids, Butler McCook is hosting a craft activity from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Bushnell Park Carousel

Bushnell Park's antique carousel is the only venue open from 2pm to midnight! Enjoy free rides for button holders throughout the whole day. Buy some hot chocolate, coffee and popcorn. Come and warm up by the carousel!

Drumming About You

The Hartford City Hall is going to rock, roll, and boogie as Bob Bloom launches the most engaging songs that you'll ever play. The entire audience, kids to grandparents, gets hands-on with BB's huge and beautiful array of some of the world's favorite drums and percussion trinkets.
